ECO-BRICK. SARL is a Cameroonian company located in Yaoundé. Two brothers founded the company in 2021. One holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Zhejiang-China and the other holds a PhD in Chemical engineering from Imperial College-London. They combine their knowledge and expertise to the manufacturing of high quality, low cost and eco-friendly construction material.
Currently, ECO-BRICK. SARL manufactures and commercializes high quality Interlocking Stabilized Soil Bricks (ISSB). Other products such as clay based roof tiles are under development.
At ECO-BRICK. SARL we strive to always supply our customers with the best quality construction material at a very competitive price and offer the best service possible.
ISSB are made of a mixture of soil and water with a portion of cement as a stabilizer. The mixture is compressed in an automatic hydraulic press and allow curing for two weeks.
Each brick is designed to lock itself to the other blocks above and below without the use of mortar. The self-locking is achieved using a tongue and groove mechanism.

Quality

In order to achieve quality bricks, proper selection of the raw materials must be made. The raw materials that include soils, sand, water and stabilizers (cement or lime) must be carefully selected.

The ideal soil to produce the bricks is sandy soil with clay content of about 30% and sand content of about 70%. If the clay content is too high in the soil, sand is added to achieve the desired proportion.
At ECO-BRICK we carefully test the soil to ensure it meets the required specifications prior to using it in the production of our bricks. The bricks must meet or exceed the requirement set in the Cameroonian standard NC-112 à 114: 2002-6.
Each batch of bricks manufactured at ECO-BRICK is sampled and tested (size, compressive strength, water absorption). Only the batches with test results that meet the specifications are released for commercialization.

Delivery

At ECO-BRICK we work with the customer to establish an agreed production and delivery schedule based on the order size.
We can also work with the customer to develop specific bricks sizes, shapes or formulations.

ECO-BRICK operates a delivery truck and can deliver the bricks to the customer´s construction site at a very competitive price.
